Government consultation on #KinshipCare is proposing for four key areas of change.

  • A weekly allowance for Kinship Carers just like foster parents.
  • Paid parental leave when welcoming a Kinship child to your home.
  • Extra funding in schools to support children in Kinship care
  • A statutory definition of kinship care to help carers access these rights.
